Canopy – Melbourne Green Roof Forum brings together people to share their passion, ideas and experience in greening our cities through green roofs, walls and other green urban infrastructure. 

The Ecology of Cities and Towns Dr Amy Hahs is a GIS Ecologist at the Australian Research Centre for Urban Ecology and is the co-author of several publications including Ecology of Cities and Towns: A Comparative Approach. Amy will be providing canopy attendees with an overview of a recently published paper comparing the plant extinction rates for Melbourne with the extinction rates from a number of international cities.

Australian Succulents Attila Kapitany is president of the Cactus & Succulent society of Australia and founder of the Australian Succulents website. Attila has over thirty years experience growing succulent plants in shallow substrates. He is the author of many books on the subject and will be sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with the Canopy audience

Following the presentations we'll have our traditional 'open mic' session where you can ask a question, plug your business or share your experience with Green Roofs in Melbourne. Finger food will be served and drinks will be available to purchase at the bar.
